Dan has a long history with Hollywood. His stage name is Clifford Dalton. As a former teacher of screenwriting, directing and acting, his previous writing accomplishments include a stage play he wrote, directed and starred in, (Running From Paradise), produced at Theater-Theater on Hollywood Blvd. The play, was well received by the LA press, and was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize the same year. He wrote, directed and starred in the feature film, (Silhouette). He wrote, directed and starred in the TV pilot, (Cadets), which won Best Film at the Del Mar Film Fair in San Diego California. Also, he was a recurring character on (General Hospital). He co-starred in the film, (Inside Edge), with Michael Madsen; (Sunset Heat), with Dennis Hopper and (Hell Hath No Fury), with Barbara Eden.

He chose this genre because he loves Science-fiction intertwined with action and adventure and animals. He lives in Texas and California. “I like to use these locations as they give an air of authenticity to the writing.” He is a writer/director/actor and has worked in Hollywood for several years. He loves dressage, eventing and polo, “that’s why the dragons have a down-to-earth feel about them; it comes from my love of horses and animals.”
